The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Women’s Health has launched an inquiry into whether women are given an informed choice about the treatment options available for particular conditions.  The group aims to empower women to ensure that they can make an informed choice about the best treatment for them and that they are treated with dignity and respect.

Fibroids is one of the conditions the group would like to shine a particular spotlight on and so would like to hear from patients about their own experience of living with fibroids and accessing treatment. The group is encouraging clinicians to ask their patients if they would like to contribute to this survey. Please find the link to the group’s patient survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/fibroids-informed-choice

The group aims to use the findings from this inquiry to produce a report which will assess if women are given an informed choice about treatment options and outline what further improvements might need to be made.

All responses will remain anonymous.  You can visit the group’s website for more information on the inquiry as well as the wider work of the group: http://www.appgwomenshealth.org/.
